Heartwood presents golden yellow to medium brown when freshly sawn, gradually oxidizing to a uniform antique bronze and dark chocolate brown with time. It features typical interlocked grain with moderate coarse texture and natural luster, forming continuous striped decorative patterns. Sapwood is pale off-white and clearly demarcated from heartwood, which will be strictly removed in premium-grade timber. Natural color variation and grain irregularities are normal characteristics of authentic tropical hardwood, not quality defects.
