Shipping & Delivery Policy
SENHEDA WOOD / SHD Timber provides global clients with African hardwood export and international shipping coordination services. We are committed to offering our clients a stable, transparent, and traceable timber delivery process.
1. Scope of Application
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to African logs, squares, sawn timber, veneers, kiln-dried timber, and other timber products purchased through SENHEDA WOOD / SHD Timber.
2. Shipping Methods
Timber products are typically transported via sea freight, either in containers or as bulk cargo. The specific shipping method will be determined based on the product type, quantity, port of shipment, port of destination, and client requirements.

Common delivery terms include:
- FOB: The client designates the shipping carrier or freight forwarder, and we are responsible for delivering the goods to the agreed-upon port of shipment.
- CFR: We are responsible for arranging sea freight to the port of destination.
- CIF: We are responsible for arranging sea freight and basic insurance coverage.
- Other trade terms mutually confirmed in writing by both parties.
3. Order Processing Flow
The general order processing flow is as follows:
1. The client confirms the timber species, specifications, quantity, and port of destination.
2. Both parties confirm the quotation, payment terms, and delivery terms.
3. We arrange for stock preparation, measurement/scaling, compilation of tally sheets, and container loading.
4. We process the necessary export and customs clearance documentation in accordance with the order requirements.
5. Upon shipment of the cargo, we provide the Bill of Lading and relevant supporting documents.
6. The client arranges for customs clearance and cargo collection at the port of destination based on the provided documentation.
4. Delivery Time
Delivery times may vary depending on the timber species, inventory availability, processing requirements, container loading schedules, vessel schedules, time required for export documentation processing, and conditions at the port of destination. The specific delivery timeline shall be governed by the order or contract mutually confirmed by both parties.

International timber shipments may be affected by the following factors:
- Vessel schedule adjustments or delays
- Port congestion
- Weather conditions or natural factors
- Customs inspections
- Quarantine procedures or certificate approval times
- Policy changes in the destination country
- Force majeure events

In the event of any delays, we will communicate with the client promptly and assist in tracking the logistics progress.

Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties, the customer shall bear all costs incurred at the port of destination, including customs clearance fees, duties, VAT, port charges, storage fees, demurrage charges, inspection fees, and other import-related expenses.

Customers are advised to familiarize themselves in advance with the permits, quarantine requirements, tax rates, and compliance documentation required for importing timber into the destination country.
